A Catechist Conversation

WESTON- Bishop Frank Caggiano has invited all catechists of the Diocese to join him for an important conversation on Saturday, September 8th at St Francis of Assisi Church in Weston from 8:30am to 12pm.  “Catechist Conversation II” is a follow up to two initial meetings between Bishop Caggiano and hundreds of catechists from throughout the Diocese of Bridgeport that took place in the Fall of 2017. He shared his powerful vision for the future of faith formation and pointed out some of the biggest challenges facing catechists in our modern world, and how we can face them by reimagining catechesis, formation, and mission.

This year’s Catechist Conversation invites parents of young people to enter into dialogue with Bishop Caggiano about childhood faith formation, taking note of the important fact that the Catholic Rite of Baptism calls parents “the first teachers in the ways of faith.”. This upcoming conversation with Bishop Caggiano focuses on the important role that parents play in the formation of young people. All parents are welcome to join, as well as all catechists from our parishes and schools. Space is limited to 450 participants, so please register early! Light Breakfast will be served.
