Bishop statement on appointing Stacie Stueber as Superintendent of Schools

Diocese of Bridgeport, Bridgeport, CT – November 7, 2024

It is with great joy that I announce the appointment of Mrs. Stacie Stueber as the Superintendent of Schools for the Diocese of Bridgeport.

Stacie has served our schools and diocese with unwavering dedication since 2016, first as Deputy Superintendent and most recently as Interim Superintendent since July 2024. Her steadfast commitment to Catholic education, combined with her proven leadership and vision, make her an exemplary choice to lead our schools into an exciting new chapter.

Stacie has long been a transformative presence in our educational community, bringing innovation, faith, and academic excellence to the forefront of our mission. She understands the essence of Catholic education, ensuring that each of our students receives not only an excellent education but one deeply rooted in Catholic values. Under her leadership, I am confident that our schools will continue to flourish, inspiring the next generation of Catholic leaders with compassion, integrity, and faith.

As Stacie steps into this new role, I ask the entire diocesan community to join me in prayer and support for her. Together, we will continue to build upon the strong Catholic foundation and academic excellence that our schools are known for, nurturing the faith and potential of every child entrusted to our care.
