The Courage to Speak
Ginger and Larry Katz, co-founders of the Courage to Speak Foundation will be speaking. The foundation was founded to foster open communication about alcohol and other drug abuse among young people after the untimely death of their son, Ian, from a drug overdose.. 60th Anniversary
St. Luke Parish in Westport will celebrate its 60th anniversary with three days of events. “Rock Back To The Sixties” opens on Friday evening from 7-9 pm with music by DJ Remember Then and ‘60s Nibbles. ‘60s fashions are encouraged but optional. An Anniversary Mass takes place on Saturday evening at 5:30 pm, featuring community singing and music on organ, piano and guitar. A reception follows. On October 22, St. Luke’s children will have their own celebration at an Ice Cream Social at 11:15 am.

Men’s Conference 
EWTN newscaster to speak at Men’s Conference Award-winning journalist and best-selling author Raymond Arroyo of EWTN News will be a featured speaker at the 10th annual Connecticut Catholic Men’s Conference. The day-long program will also include a presentation by Bishop Frank J. Caggiano. Father James Sullivan, priest chaplain of the conference, said the event offers men valuable information and tools they can use to become better role models in their families and in society. Throughout the day, there will be a program of dynamic Catholic speakers, opportunities for Eucharistic Adoration and the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The conference will close with a vigil Mass at which Archbishop Leonard P. Blair will deliver the homily.

Special Healing Mass 
For victims of sexual abuse as a minor and for family members, spouses others who have been impacted. Bishop Frank J. Caggiano will celebrate the Mass. All are welcome. In addition, there are two upcoming gatherings at the Bridgeport Public Library at their North Branch, 3455 Madison Avenue, Bridgeport. This is an opportunity to meet with fellow adult survivors of abuse as a minor, together with a Diocesan Victim Assistance Coordinator. The Courage to Speak
