“Broadway & Catholic Charities Working to End Homelessness”

BRIDGEPORT—On Thursday, June 15th, Deb Smith, Catholic Charities’ Director of Housing, was invited to attend the awards ceremony and dinner sponsored by the Partnership for Strong Communities where Ben Vereen was the keynote speaker.

Smith is a member of the Supportive Housing Works, Inc. and CT Coalition to End Homelessness Board of Directors.

“Not only is Ben Vereen a very talented Tony award-winning actor, dancer, and singer, he is also a philanthropist and community activist who does significant work across the country to end homelessness. He spoke the raw truth regarding the plight of homelessness in this country, and even sang a chorus from ‘To Dream the Impossible Dream’!” Smith said.
