DARIEN—The girls’ volleyball teams from Trinity Catholic High School in Stamford and Staples High School in Westport played each other on September 15 at Darien High School.
While the competition was fierce, cooperation was in the air in the week leading up to the game. The two teams worked together to raise funds at their respective schools for the victims of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. The teams raised $450 for hurricane relief.
Both teams and their coaches received praise for their effort at a ceremony before the game.
