The 13th Annual Fan the Fire Youth Rally will take place on Saturday, August 11 from 9:30am to 10pm at St Rose of Lima Church in Newtown, CT. All young people in grades 8 through 12 are invited and encouraged to attend this incredible opportunity to grow in their Catholic faith and relationship with Jesus Christ, along with hundreds of other teens from throughout the Diocese of Bridgeport.
Fan the Fire consists of dynamic talks given by inspiring speakers, both nationally known and familiar faces from within the Diocese. Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Frank Caggiano who will encourage the young people through his presence and engaging homily. An entertaining and humorous keynote will be given by Chris Padgett, an international speaker, singer and songwriter, and author. Priests from throughout the Diocese will be available to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation throughout the day, and the participants will have the opportunity to serve those in need through a meal-packaging event coordinated through Catholic Relief Services.
Fan the Fire is excited to welcome the Catholic comedy group Nun and Nunner for an afternoon entertainment session. For many of the young people who have attended Fan the Fire in the past, a highlight of the day is a powerful encounter with Jesus Christ during Eucharistic Adoration. Lunch and dinner are included in the registration fee and there will also be games lead on the field during free time.
To register, please visit: www.formationreimagined.org Note: There are separate online registrations for youth and adults (18+). Youth are encouraged to attend with adult chaperones from their parish youth groups or schools. Young people who would like to attend but do not have a group coming from their parish will be welcomed into another group. All adults attending as chaperones must be in compliance with Diocesan Safe Environment requirements.
