Greenwich Catholic School Celebrates ‘Together In Kindness’ Service Day

GREENWICH—The Faith, Service, Outreach Committee of the Parents Association at Greenwich Catholic School will celebrate their 2nd Annual “Together in Kindness” Service Day on Thursday, March 5.

Students in Grades PreK-8 will be partnered with their “buddies” throughout the day to complete creative activities that will help fill baskets for the residents of Malta House in Norwalk, Conn. Students will complete multiple projects based on grade level, including writing and decorating cards of encouragement, wrapping baby gifts and assembling diaper bags.

This year’s event will be led by Mrs. Kim Garcia, Mrs. Andrea Kopilak, and Mrs. Melissa Kennedy, in conjunction with GCS faculty and staff, and supported by over 50 Parents Association volunteers. The event chairs and parent volunteers have been preparing for the day by knitting baby blankets and hats and donating baby items and other supplies from the committee’s Amazon Wish List. At the event, parents will be on-hand to help students with their crafts and ensure projects progress smoothly.

At the conclusion of the event, students, faculty, staff and parents will gather for a Prayer Service.
