Knights Mini-Golf Seeking Sponsors

SHELTON– After a three-year hiatus, due to Covid-19, Council 1350 Knights of Columbus is resuming its Mini-Golf Tournament.

The event will take place on Sunday, October 23, at the Sports Center of CT, 784 River Road in Shelton. It will begin with a shotgun start, at 1:00 pm. .

All are invited to participate in this family event. Foursomes are $40, while Singles are $12. The entry amount include all fees banquet admission, and prizes A hot dog and hamburger banquet will be available to all immediately upon completing the course.

Robert Zaleski, Past Grand Knight and Tournament Director, said he hopes to identify additional sponsors that will help to make the day a success for the organizations that will benefit from the event.

“Unfortunately, hunger and need did not take a break,” said Zaleski who is encouraging others to step forward by sponsoring a hole in the popular mini-golf event.

Zaleski said the purpose of the tournament is two-fold. “It gives families a chance to have fun together, and secondly, it raises funds for the under-privileged.”

He said that all proceeds will be divided up and distributed to: Masters Table, Spooner House, and St. Vincent DePaul Shoppe, which are food pantries, shelters, and soup kitchens that serve people in need in the Shelton area.

Zaleski said he’s hoping to see one hundred golfers play in the family event, which brings out people of all ages.

All sponsor signs will be prominently displayed on the holes of the course. Sponsorship levels include: Silver at $150.00; Gold at $250.00, and Platinum at $500.00.
