Our Lady Star of the Sea volunteers spruce up Stamford home

STAMFORD—Volunteers from Our Lady Star of the Sea made improvements to the home of Kathleen Kinsella as part of HomeFront Day, when volunteers revitalize homes for low-income families. HomeFront is a Stamford nonprofit that provides quality-of-life improvements to families with financial hardships.

Home owner Kathleen Kinsella is photographed on May 5, 2018 with Emma Wiegand as volunteers work on much needed home improvement projects to her home in Stamford, Connecticut. About 30 volunteers from Our Lady Star of the Sea made improvements to Kinsella’s1930 Colonial home, as part of HomeFront Day, in which volunteers revitalize homes for low-income families. Among other things, beneficiaries eagerly await having drafty windows replaced and tired walls painted, along with plumbing and electrical improvements, roofing repairs, wheel chair ramp installations and other safety enhancements. HomeFront is a Stamford-based non-profit whose community-based programs provide quality of life improvements to families with financial hardships.
