Living our Catholic Faith in the Secular World

STAMFORD– Damien O’Connor, Vice President of Evangelization and Faith Formation at Knights of Columbus Supreme Council in New Haven, will speak on “Living Our Catholic Faith in a Secular World” on Monday September 19, 7 pm at the Church of the Holy Spirit, Holy Family Hall, 403 Scofieldtown Road in Stamford.

O’Connor’s talk is part of the ongoing Church of the Holy Spirit speakers series. It is open to all.

“The Good News is not old news, and it is not just good, but great news that can transform our hearts, our homes, our parishes, our schools and… yes, even the World,” said O’Connor.
“Living in the midst of the secular world’s grip, it can be a struggle to remain hopeful and ever faithful sharing that hope and faith with others. These times call for a more than just a maintenance plan for survival, we are called by Christ to be missionaries witnessing to His love with joy.”

Damien O’Connor has an MA in Religious Education from Fordham University. In the past he served as Director of Faith Formation of the Diocese of Bridgeport. Recently he was invited to serve on the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Eucharistic Revival Execution Team. He and His wife Monica have been married for 25 years and our the parents of three grown children.

The talk will provide inspiration, hope and encourage to live the faith with renewed vigor as missionary disciples, embracing the teachings of Jesus Christ and his Church.
