EASTON—A group from of Notre Dame of Easton parish visited three local Sacred Sites In Litchfield County on Thursday, October 12th.

The one-day pilgrimage took the men and women to Lourdes in Litchfield, the Abbey of Regina Laudis in Bethlehem, and the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Waterbury.

The tour was organized by the Ladies Council of Notre Dame and led by parishioner Michelle Falcone of Easton.

“We celebrated Mass at Lourdes and walked the Stations of the Cross, had a tour/history of the beautiful Crèche and main church at the Abbey, and a brief talk offering historical insight at the Basilica,” she said.

The bus tour began with the group eating breakfast together in
Easton. They also enjoyed lunch on the bus en route to the Basilica in Waterbury.

Group members prepared for the stop at each site by being briefed on the historical and spiritual significance while on the bus.

“Visiting these sites in communion with fellow parishioners made this such a wonderful day-trip and I’ve received the most positive feedback,” said Falcone.

Falcone said she was delighted to organize the tour because it gave her an opportunity to use her professional experience in service of the Church.
