New Year’s Adoration At St. Ann

BRIDGEPORT—Ring in the New Year through adoration, prayer and fellowship on Sunday December 31, at St. Ann Church, 418 Brewster Street in Black Rock, Bridgeport!

Adorations begins at 11:00 p.m. with Benediction set for 12:15 a.m. Fellowship and light refreshments will follow.

Msgr. Thomas Powers, Vicar General of the Diocese, who will give the Benediction, said “Pope Benedict XVI wrote ‘Today embraces the whole time of the Church… if past and present penetrate one an- other in this way, if the essence of the past is not simply a thing of the past… then the future, too, is present in what happens in the liturgy.’”

All are welcome to crown the year 2017 and dedicate the year 2018 to Jesus Christ our Lord in the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Altar!

“January 1 is the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, and also World Day of Peace. As we adore the Prince of Peace, we ask the intercession of Our Lady, Queen of Peace, for peace to reign in our lives, in our hearts, in our Church, and in this troubled world,” said Msgr. Powers.
