Welcome to the Filipino Catholic Apostolate of the Diocese of Bridgeport. We are Catholic Christians Filipino community called to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the Diocese of Bridgeport and beyond. Though the intercession of our Blessed Virgin Mary, San Lorenzo Ruiz and San Pedro Calungsod, we are invited to cultivate the life of discipleship and the live the Gospel message in our daily lives through the celebration of the Sacraments, devotion to the Mother of God and celebrating the Filipino culture. We invite to come and share the joy of the Gospel. Welcome to the family!

Maligayang pong pagdating sa Filipino Catholic Apostolate ng Diyosesis ng Bridgeport. Kami po ay mga Katolikong Kristiyanong Pilipinong komunidad na tinawag upang isabuhay ang Ebanghelyo ni Hesukristo sa Diyosesis ng Bridgeport at sa lahat. Sa pamamagitan ng panalangin ng ating Mahal na Birheng Maria, San Lorenzo Ruiz at San Pedro Calungsod, kayo po ay aming inaanyayahan na linangin ang buhay ng pagiging alagad ni Kristo at isabuhay ang mensahe ng Ebanghelyo sa ating pang-araw-araw na buhay sa pamamagitan ng pagdiriwang ng mga Sakramento, debosyon sa Ina ng Diyos at pagdiriwang ng kulturang Pilipino. Inaanyayahan namin po kayo na ibahagi ang kagalakan ng Ebanghelyo. Maligayang pagdating sa ating pamilya, tuloy po kayo!

About our Episcopal Vicar, Fr. Cyrus Bartolome
My name is Father Cyrus Bartolome, and I am the pastor of the Church of the Assumption in Westport, CT and currently the Vicar for the Filipino Apostolate in the Diocese of Bridgeport.
I grew up in Bay, Laguna Philippines and immigrated in the United States in 1993. I settled in Fairfield County and began my seminary studies for the diocese. I studied at St. John Fisher Seminary, graduated at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield CT. I then transferred at Mount St Mary Seminary and later on at St Joseph Seminary to finished my major seminary studies. I was ordained for the Diocese of Bridgeport on May 17, 2007.
I was appointed as the first vicar for the Filipino by the Most Rev. Frank J. Caggiano. My vision as the vicar is to encourage the community to celebrate the uniqueness of the Filipino people by the way we live our Catholic Christian faith, to share our cherish culture, to build a bridge of unity in the different groups in the community and be an advocate for those who are in need the poor and marginalized back in the Philippines.
