Public Rosary Rally in Stratford

STRATFORD– More than 100 people attended a Public Rosary yesterday at the Gazebo at Paradise Green, Stratford, Ct in celebration of the 100th year of Fatima.

The noon-time gathering to pray the Rosary was in affiliation with America Needs Fatima Public Square Rosary Crusade.

There were about 21,500 public rosary rallies held throughout the USA sponsored by the America Needs Fatima organization.

“Each year, America Needs Fatima holds the Public Square Rosary Crusade, with thousands of rosary rallies in cities all across the country. In 2015, there were 14,108 rallies and in 2014, there were 12,629 groups simultaneously praying for our country and the world all across America! “ said Michael Miller, a Public Rosary organizer.

The Public Square Rosary Rallies take place on the closest Saturday to October 13, feast of the last apparition of Our Lady of Fatima and the Miracle of the Sun. Besides the October Rosaries, many Rosary Rally Captains hold monthly Rosaries as well, Miller said.

A Public Square Rosary Crusade was also held yesterday (October 24) on the ground of Our Lady of Peace Parish in the Lordship section of Stratford . Judy DelVecchio of Stratford helped to organize and promote the event.
