“As a diocese, we are embarking on what I believe is an audacious invitation by the Holy Spirit to foster a true and lasting renewal of our local Church. I call it “The One” because it is the single greatest priority we will embrace as a diocesan family in the years ahead. “The One” is our commitment to renew the ecclesial culture of our Church and to bring every believer closer to the Lord Jesus.”
- The One vision, Bishop Frank Caggiano, Roman Catholic Diocese of Bridgeport, CT
Part of the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage, Bridgeport Diocese’s Eucharistic Procession has been an extraordinary celebration and strengthening of our faith. Below are some resources to build on those graces and to remain in Christ going forward as part of our commitment to our personal renewal in Christ and for the renewal of our local Church as a whole. This is what “The One” is all about.
Join One of Our Guilds
The Diocese of Bridgeport offers a variety of Guilds for the faithful to join. Guilds are “Public Associations” (communities) of the faithful that center around one’s profession, interest, or vocation in life. They are meant to serve as a place of encounter and accompaniment for those seeking to grow in love of, and to live out, their faith in the secular world. Members of each Guild meet periodically and commit to pray for each other. Our current Guilds are listed below.
Sacred Heart Guild for the Sacred Arts
The Sacred Heart Guild exists to promote and foster Beauty in the Sacred Arts in the Diocese of Bridgeport. If the Diocese is thought of as a body, with the Parishes as its organs, then the Guild is like its nervous system, sharing ideas and giving inspiration to all those seeking a deeper relationship with the Lord through Beauty.

Bishop’s Lecture Series
The Bishop’s Lecture Series features leading national Catholic writers and speakers who will offer their insights into renewal through truth, beauty and goodness as we seek to accompany all in their journey of faith. The lectures are presented free of charge and are open to all. Bishop Caggiano will offer brief remarks at every lecture.
The mission of the Bishop’s Lecture Series is to provide opportunities for compelling adult faith formation regarding catechetical, theological or pastoral issues of contemporary importance. Each year four lectures will be given in various regions of the Diocese. Light refreshments will be available prior to the start of the program. After an initial period of prayer, the lecturer will present the talk that will be 45 minutes in length. After a short break, there will be a 30-minute period of conversation and dialogue with participants. If you have any questions, contact bishoplecture@diobpt.org.

Catholic203 connects young adults across Fairfield County with each other and the Church. No matter where you are in your faith journey, you’re wanted and welcomed at Catholic203!
Throughout our diocese, communities of young adults (aged 18 to their mid-30s) are coming together through Catholic203, exemplifying what "The One" is all about, i.e. our commitment to focusing every aspect of the Church on bringing individuals closer to God.

Catholic203, and all of its different initiatives and ministries, serve those entering college or the workforce, discerning vocations, as well as young couples navigating dating, engagement, marriage, and family. Our different Diocesan communities are as diverse and varied as young adults themselves. Catholic203 will help you find young adult communities gathering for professional networking events, Adoration and Mass, service projects, Bible studies, social gatherings, and more.

The Face of Prayer
Moments of Grace
The Face of Prayer was launched by Bishop Frank Caggiano on Divine Mercy Sunday 2017 as a way to incorporate prayer with social media. Since then, more than 22 million prayers have been shared. Every day at 3 pm, thousands of people across our diocese – and the world – receive an invitation to pray. It can be a simple intention, an intercession for the saint of the day to be with us, or a call to action.
Each day, Bishop Frank invites you to pause, to pray, and to join with the faithful across Fairfield County to experience the power of prayer. To learn more, click the button below.
LEADTM Our diocesan online learning platform features more than 300 courses and learning paths for ministry leaders and anyone who wishes to learn more about the faith. Featuring courses from Augustine Institute, Steubenville University, Loyola Press, and many of our own priests, deacons, and laity.
