Sacred Heart University Marketing Program Earns High National Ranking

FAIRFIELD—College Factual has ranked Sacred Heart University’s marketing program as one of the top programs nationwide. The program landed in the top 10 percent of marketing programs, improving its ranking since last year.

College Factual collects and analyzes data and insights from students and faculty to rank programs offered by four-year U.S. colleges and universities. It does so to help prospective students find their best collegiate fit, according to its website.

The SHU marketing program recently refocused its approach to studies to keep up with the ever-changing nature of technology and digital communication. It aims to educate future marketing professionals by providing them with opportunities to learn functional skills based on a theoretical foundation, combined with specialized skills in newer areas such as digital marketing, e-tailing, relationship marketing and new areas of market research.

“This improved ranking exemplifies the improvements we have made in the marketing department as a whole,” said Joshua Shuart, associate professor and chair of marketing and sport management. “We are constantly reevaluating our curriculum in order to deliver the education and skill sets our students need to succeed in the modern digital era. Above all, this ranking is a testament to the hard work and innovation of our tremendous faculty.”
