Sacred Heart University Welcomes Alumnus Back to Board of Trustees

FAIRFIELD, Conn.—Sacred Heart University has renamed alumnus Brian Hamilton ’87 of Milford to its board of trustees, the University’s top governing body.

Hamilton is founder and chairman of Sageworks, a financial information company with offices in Raleigh, N.C., and New York City. Sageworks provides lending and risk management solutions to financial institutions, as well as financial analysis and business valuation solutions to accounting firms and privately held companies.

“I’m honored to rejoin the Sacred Heart Board of Trustees. I’ve been astounded at the growth of the school in recent years, and I’m truly looking forward to being more involved in the University that has had such an incredible impact on my life,” said Hamilton.

Hamilton also is recognized nationally as a thought leader in finance. He is a regular guest on CNBC and MSNBC and contributes to Inc. and Entrepreneur magazines.

“We are thrilled to have Brian rejoin the board of trustees,” said John J. Petillo, president of Sacred Heart University. “Not only do we benefit from his business expertise and enthusiasm, but he brings a unique perspective as an alumnus of the University.”
