BRIDGEPORT- Bishop Caggiano is inviting young adults ages 18-35 to join him in Panama for World Youth Day in January of 2019! World Youth Day is an encounter of young people from all around the world with the Holy Father, the person of Jesus Christ, the Universal Church and one another.
During the days of World Youth Day, the pilgrims gather for prayer and worship, deepen their knowledge of the faith through catechesis given by Bishops and Cardinals from around the world, and celebrate the joy they have received from Christ who is our hope.
As Pope Benedict once said, “World Youth Day is much more than an event. It is a time of deep and spiritual renewal; its fruits benefit the whole of society.” It is an extraordinary and lifechanging moment of grace for all who attend. World Youth Day is held every three years and the last one was held in Krakow, Poland in 2016.
World Youth Day will take place in Panama from January 21-28, 2019. The cost for the trip is $3,250 and we are pleased to share that scholarships are available from $500-$1500. Interested pilgrims can apply for a scholarship by emailing a simple letter of request outlining their need to firstname.lastname@example.org. The scholarship deadline is June 15 so please send your letter today! Visit www.conncatholics.org to see the pilgrimage details and download the registration form. We hope that you will answer Bishop Caggiano’s invitation today!
