Trumbull CT – March 12 The Parish of Saint Catherine of Siena invites you to two special events during Holy Week. Everyone is welcome!
The Parish will sponsor a Visit to the Seven Churches directly following the Solemn Mass of the Lord’s Supper on Thursday, March 29. This ancient tradition originated in Rome, where the faithful visit seven churches to venerate the Most Holy Eucharist at the Altars of Repose on the evening of Holy Thursday, and accompany the Lord on His suffering from the end of the Last Supper until his arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane. We will begin directly following Mass and finish at St. Catherine’s before midnight. Transportation will be provided. Free of charge. RSVP: 203.377.3133.
We will observe Good Friday in a very special way this year! The Liturgy of the Passion & Death of the Lord will take place on March 30, Good Friday, at 3 pm. Immediately following, there will be a screening of The Passion of the Christ in the church, beginning at 5 pm. Stations of the Cross will be offered at 8 pm. Join us while we walk with Christ in the events that mark the very last day of his life on earth.
