DECREE
PROMULGATION OF THE
PARISH FINANCE MANUAL

To promote the proper, transparent, and accountable administration of ecclesiastical goods throughout the Diocese of Bridgeport, the Parish Finance Manual has been revised to incorporate updated policies, procedures, and best practices consistent with the universal law of the Church and the pastoral administrative needs of the Diocese.

Therefore, by virtue of the authority entrusted to me as Bishop of Bridgeport, and in accord with the norms of canon law, I hereby promulgate the PARISH FINANCE MANUAL as particular law governing the administration of temporal goods within the Diocese of Bridgeport.

By means of this decree, I order that the provisions of this manual have firm and stable effect, notwithstanding anything to the contrary, even if worthy of special mention, and that the provisions contained herein be promulgated by inclusion in the official diocesan newspaper, The Fairfield County Catholic, and on our official diocesan website, entering into force on September 30, 2026. Furthermore, I order that the present provisions be communicated both electronically and by ordinary mail to all diocesan personnel subject to these provisions.
