Who will serve your parish as priest tomorrow?
Right now, 37 men are preparing for the priesthood in our Diocese — including 19 who entered formation in just the past two years. Each vocation costs $70,000 annually for tuition, housing, healthcare, and formation.
As Catholics, we share the responsibility to form tomorrow’s priests. By giving today, you join with others across our Diocese in providing these men the freedom to focus fully on prayer, study, and service — so that tomorrow, every parish has a priest to celebrate the sacraments.
THE ONE
This is Our ChallengeThis is OUr Mission

There is a single invitation offered to each of us by Christ: encounter him more deeply in mind, heart and will. Once we encounter the person of Christ, learn more about him, fall in love with him and share his life with others, our own faith becomes more profound. Then, as missionary disciples in the world, we can accompany others who want to join in the journey, calling each of our brothers and sisters to their own encounter.
“The One” is the Diocese of Bridgeport’s commitment to renew the culture of our Church and to bring every believer closer to the Lord Jesus by opportunities to encounter the Lord’s power and love while fostering small communities of faith that will accompany and support its members on their faith journeys.

Our Bishop
The Most Reverend Frank J. Caggiano
Bishop Frank J. Caggiano is the fifth and current bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Bridgeport. In the first year of his leadership, the diocese hosted the Fourth Synod of the Diocese of Bridgeport—the first in 32 years—as an opportunity for reform and renewal by empowering the young Church, building up communities of faith, fostering evangelical outreach, and promoting works of charity and justice.
Since then, Bishop Caggiano has overseen the launch of the Institute for Catholic Formation, foundations to support works of charity, faith, and education, the formation of guilds for specific professions and devotions to grow in Christian discipleship in prayer and formation, and other ongoing initiatives to revitalize the liturgical and pastoral life of the diocese and to further engage the youth and young adults.
