2026 Anti-Harassment Training

Respectful Workplace and Harassment Prevention Training
Diocese of Bridgeport – Mandatory Two-Hour Training

Upon completion of this in-person interactive training, participants will be able to:
  • Understand and identify unlawful harassment and retaliation under federal and state law and in accordance with Diocese policy.
  • Distinguish between conduct that constitutes unlawful harassment and behavior that does not, including understanding the difference between performance management, personality conflict, and unlawful behavior.
  • Recognize how assumptions, tone, and nonverbal communication may impact workplace culture and legal exposure.
  • Identify power imbalances in workplace, parish and school settings, understand how these imbalances can create heightened risk for boundary violations and harassment claims, and how to avoid compromising situations.
  • Apply appropriate professional boundaries in interactions with adults and minors, including guidance on physical contact, electronic communications, setting limits, the Rule of Two, and responding to inappropriate behaviors or disclosures.
  • Understand individual responsibility for reporting misconduct, cooperating with investigations, and helping maintain a safe, respectful environment free from harassment and retaliation.
