A Message From Fr. Dormevil

On January 1st, 2022, his Excellency Bishop Frank J. Caggiano nominated me as the Episcopal vicar for the Haitian Catholic Community, a responsibility that I have accepted with great humility and pride. This nomination is a privilege to work hand-in-hand with my Haitian brothers Priests and Deacons, including my Haitian brothers and sisters in the Diocese of Bridgeport, in a higher capacity in the Catholic Church. It gives me the opportunity to work for a more unified Haitian Pastoral and Apostolate, fully integrated in all Pastoral Activities of the Diocese.
I count on the counsel of every group, or member of the community to better serve the needs of the Haitian Community, and the Catholic Church. I welcome any concerns you would like to address with me. I will diligently work for Unity in the Haitian Community as it is stated in our coats of arm “L’ Union fait la Force”, and it is the call of God to every Christian “May they all be one.”
Please don’t hesitate to contact me for an appointment, by calling the office of St. Joseph and St. Ladislaus Parish in Norwalk, or the office of Notre Dame du Perpétuel Secours Quasi Parish in Stamford.
I am looking forward to working with you in building a stronger Haitian Catholic Community in the Bridgeport Diocese.
