Sacred Heart Greenwich has named Lindsay Gottfried as co-director of college counseling.
With more than a decade of experience in college counseling and student advising, Gottfried joins the College Counseling Office, which provides individualized guidance and support to students and families throughout the college search and application process.
She will join Sacred Heart Greenwich on August 17.
In her role, Gottfried will work closely with Christine Gerrity, co-director of College Counseling, continuing Sacred Heart Greenwich’s personalized approach to helping each student discover colleges where she will thrive academically, personally, and spiritually.
Most recently, Gottfried served as a school counselor at New Canaan High School, where she provided academic advising, social-emotional support and college counseling to students in grades 9–12.
Prior to that, she spent eight years as a college counselor at Léman Manhattan Preparatory School and previously served as associate director of college counseling at The Masters School.
Throughout her career, Gottfried has helped students navigate the college process with confidence, authenticity, and self-awareness while building strong, trusting relationships with students and families. Gottfried says she believes college counseling is about more than admission to a particular institution; it is an opportunity for students to understand themselves better and make thoughtful decisions aligned with their strengths, interests, and values.

Gottfried holds a master of science in education in school counseling from Hunter College and a bachelor of arts in psychology from George Washington University. She is a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling.

Founded in 1848, Sacred Heart Greenwich is an all-girls, independent, Catholic school that educates and empowers students to pursue faith, leadership, and service. It provides a learning environment for girls and young women from kindergarten through twelfth grade. The school offers a coed program for young children at the Barat Center for Early Childhood Education.
