Trumbull, CT – June 7, 2026 – At St. Catherine’s, many parishioners celebrated the Solemnity of Corpus Christi this morning with a beautiful Mass, followed by a Eucharistic Procession to the NIA Green, where they held Benediction at the community’s gazebo. Then they retraced our footsteps back to St. Catherine’s for final Benediction.
Scores of parishioners — from the very young to the very young at heart — accompanied clergy, servers, musicians and Christ Himself in a beautiful procession. It was a clear and concrete witness to the truth of the real presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist.
Father Marcello, the pastor, noted: When Jesus put himself in the Eucharist, He took a terrible risk of being forgotten. But He thought the risk was worth it if we don’t forget Him. Let’s remember that: Jesus took the risk of being forgotten by most of humanity, if only we remember He’s there.
