From the earliest Christian images hidden in the catacombs to the great masterpieces of Fra Angelico, Leonardo, Caravaggio, Raphael, and beyond, Visions of Grace traces how artists across centuries have contemplated Mary—Mother of God, Woman of faith, and Queen of Heaven.
Guided by Scripture, tradition, and sacred art, Dr. June-Ann Greeley and Dr. Michelle Loris invite us to see how beauty has shaped belief, devotion, and doctrine—from Theotokos to the Magnificat, from sorrow to glory. These images do not merely illustrate history; they invite contemplation.
