TRUMBULL—The Parish of St. Catherine of Siena is announcing its Advent events schedule including Advent Adoration, the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, a Woman’s Advent Day of Recollection and Pot Luck, and the annual Christmas Pageant and Tree Lighting.

Event: ADVENT ADORATION & CONFESSION
When: Mondays: December 4, 11 & 18 and Tuesdays: December 5, 12 & 19 beginning at 7pm

During one of the most hectic times of the year, we’re happy to provide this oasis of peace and quiet, in the presence of Our Lord Himself, in the Blessed Sacrament. On Mondays, the hour will include a brief reflection from a guest homilist, and will conclude with Benediction. On Tuesdays, Confessions will be heard. Face-to-face and anonymous confessions are both available. Pope Francis encourages us all: “Do not be afraid of Confession!”

Our Blessed Mother, under the title of the Immaculate Conception, is the Patroness of the USA. We will celebrate a beautiful Mass in which we will honor Our Lady & ask her protection on our country, our families, & our parish. Bishop Frank Caggiano will be present with us for this most beautiful celebration in which he will also bless our new, four manual Walker organ. The Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception is a Holy Day of Obligation. The normal Holy Day schedule will apply.

Event: CHRISTMAS PAGEANT & TREE LIGHTING

Description:
Join us for a special Christmas tradition at St. Catherine’s! After the 4:00 pm Mass, students from St. Catherine of Siena School will perform their Christmas Pageant for our parishioners, after which we’ll all head outside to the front lawn for our second annual Tree Lighting. We’ll have hot chocolate for everyone in the Church Hall.
