Blood Drive at SVMC on Good Friday

BRIDGEPORT— There is an urgent need for blood donations in Connecticut and across the country due to the COVID-19 pandemic. St. Vincent’s Medical Center is proud to partner with the Connecticut Blood Center for the first blood drive at St. Vincent’s on Good Friday, April 15.

The public is invited to give the gift of life. The Connecticut Blood Center has been supplying blood products to Hartford HealthCare since 2018, which serves the needs of patients at St. Vincent’s and beyond

Dr. Eugene (Skip) Lewis, III, chairman of pathology and laboratory medicine at St. Vincent’s is a regular donor. He says, “Due to COVID-19 there has been a national shortage of blood, but surgeries and trauma continue and blood is needed to provide those services and to save lives.”

All presenting donors will be entered to win a pair of Aerosmith tickets for the September 8 concert at Fenway Park.

Blood Drive Information:

Friday, April 15 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Hawley Room #3 (4thfloor)
