In 2006, the Diocese of Bridgeport partnered with Harborside Healthcare to continue the operation of its three nursing homes, St. Joseph Center in Trumbull, St. Camillus Center in Stamford and St. John Paul II Center in Danbury. With Harborside owning and managing the nursing operation, the Diocese dedicates resources to protect and maintain the Catholic identity and mission of the homes. Today, this partnership at the three Centers continues with the successor to Harborside, Genesis HealthCare — one of the nation’s largest skilled nursing care providers.
The Diocese of Bridgeport is committed to the pastoral mission of St. Joseph Center, St. Camillus Center, and St. John Paul Center: to provide spiritual and emotional support and Catholic services to residents and their families.
