SHU announces 2024 Bergoglio lecture series

WHAT: Sacred Heart University has announced its Bergoglio lecture series for the spring 2024 semester. There will be three lectures in the series. Listen remotely here or in person.

WHO: Named after Pope Francis, the Bergoglio lectures showcase leaders in the Catholic intellectual tradition. Here are this year’s events:

  • Wednesday, February 28, at 2 p.m.: Archbishop Bernardito Auza’s lecture, “Pope Francis and the World Migration Crisis”
  • Wednesday, March 13, at 2 p.m.: Cardinal Wilton Gregory’s lecture, “The Enduring Legacy of Gaudium et Spes on Pope Francis’ Writings”
  • Wednesday, April 24, at 2 p.m.: Cardinal Blasé Cupich’s lecture, “Conversations in the Spirit: Reflections on the Pre-Synod Meditations offered by Fr. Timothy Radcliffe, OP”
