Sidewalk Advocates for Life

DANBURY—A new Chapter of Sidewalk Advocates for Life is opening in Danbury. The purpose of our counseling ministry is to provide a ”peaceful, prayerful, loving and law-abiding sidewalk outreach” to women and staff outside every abortion facility, to redirect them ”to life-affirming alternatives”.

Founded in 2014 by Lauren Muzyka, a licensed attorney who is now President and CEO of the international organization, Sidewalk Advocates for Life has by now saved 13,358 babies, with 3,665 hopeful saves (where the mother decided to think about the alternative to abortion).  In addition, they can account for the quitting of 78 abortion clinic workers, and the closing of 27 facilities!

Our Program Leader in Danbury, Tom, is calling for volunteers to become counselors and/or prayer partners. Free training will be provided to prepare counselors for their ministry. All in the Greater Danbury area of Connecticut and New York are welcome.  Membership is not required to benefit from the training. Open to all pro-life believers of any denomination, as well as secularists, scientists, legal and humanity supporters. This diversity keeps us strong and unified in cause.

“Experience has shown,” explains Tom, “that when Sidewalk Advocates show up, 75% of potential clients don’t keep their appointment with the abortion clinic.”

He relates an incident he learned of, involving a prayer partner who had spoken with a woman outside a clinic.  She told him later, “God sent me to you!”

Those interested in training (virtually or otherwise), with or without joining your local Danbury Chapter, or in stopping by and standing with us are asked to contact Tom at tai32@gmail.com. You can find our location at the Sidewalk Advocates for Life website for further information.
