ORLANDO, FL—Leaders from over 156 dioceses across the U.S. are meeting in Orlando Florida for an extraordinary convocation of Catholic leaders throughout the United States entitled, “Convocation of Catholic Leaders: The Joy of the Gospel in America”.
Twelve leaders from the Diocese of Bridgeport have joined Bishop Caggiano for the convocation, which began July 1st and will end on the afternoon of July 4th.
“The purpose of the gathering is to open a national dialogue on how best to engage all leaders in the work of evangelization by surveying the challenges before us, exploring the meaning of radical missionary discipleship and identifying some concrete strategies by which we can do this work together,” said Bishop Caggiano.
